The Father Ryan Band Boosters are volunteers who support the staff and students in all of their activities. If you are a parent, family member, or friend of a Father Ryan Band student and you enjoy sharing in their life experiences, you are a Father Ryan Band Booster.

The Boosters provide the infrastructure that enables the staff and students to practice their craft and participate in numerous activities. These activities include: Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Winter Drumlineand the Winter Guard. Providing food, water, transportation, communication, props, uniform maintenance, fundraising, publicity, and encouragement are among the many duties of the Boosters. As the saying goes,"Many Hands Make Light Work," and we need everyone to pitch in and help!

Pre-Game Meals - The marching band remains on campus between
the end of practice and the time to start boarding the buses for Friday
night football games. During this time, the Boosters provide their
evening meal for $5.00 per student.

Uniforms - The uniform committee helps the directors and kids
with all things uniform for the show. The Boosters are responsible for
fitting and
numbering the uniforms for each student, organizing uniform storage and
transportation, cleaning the uniforms, and emergency repair work.

Pit Crew - During half-time shows and competitions, the
marching band's pit instruments must be rolled into position on the
field and removed from the field in a very short amount of time. The
Boosters aid the pit musicians in this task at each event. They also
work on outfitting the transport trailer to facilitate instrument
loading and unloading and to insure the equipment can be safely
transported.

Competition Meals - In an effort to ensure the students have
planned, nutritional and affordable meals during competitions and to
help reduce the overall cost of participating in competitions, the
Boosters arrange for each student to bring in some fruit, sandwiches,
cookies, drinks, or snack items and these items are then sorted into
sack lunches and snack bags for the students to eat during the bus
ride. At times it may be necessary for meals to be provided at a
nominal cost to the students.

Stadium Crew - Prior to each football game, the Boosters
prepare coolers of water and gatoraid to serve to the students while
they are in stands. The drink coolers, cups, seat covers, stand music,
and caution tape are then taken to the stadium and the area the band
will occupy is marked off and prepared.

Fundraising - The Boosters provide several fundraising opportunities for the students
to earn money to help offset their fees. Working concessions at Titan's
games and selling CitiSaver books, Kroger Gift Cards and fresh fruit
are among them.

New Parent Coordinator - The new parent coordinator
will pair the new or “freshman” parents with experienced parents for
mentoring purposes. Band has its own language and way of doing
things so it’s good to have someone to ask in the group.

Historian - The
Father Ryan Marching Band has a deep and impressive history in the
Nashville area and worldwide. As a Band member your child is
involved with something very special. We keep a history of the
participation in competitions and events as well as the accolades that
our individual students receive through their particpication in
Mid-State, All-State and Governors School. This information is
used to promote the school and the band in the media and when applying
to participate in special events, such as Macy's Thanksgving Day Parade
Now Playing - "Third Suite - Rondo" as performed during the Spring Concert.
