Congratulations Traveller's Rest Invitational Champions 2007!
What a great day for the directors & staff, students, alumni, and boosters of the Father Ryan Band Program. Competing against eleven fantastic bands from our area, Father Ryan swept all award categories and claimed the 2007 TRI Championship. Father Ryan was awarded Best Music, Best Visual, Best Effect, Best Percussion, and Best Auxiliary in finals competition regardless of class. Third Place overall was awarded to Columbia Central High School with a finals score of 83.9, Second Place was awarded to McGavock High School with a score of 84.1, and The Irish, with a score of 88.2, were crowned Grand Champions. It was a terrific start to the competition season and hopefully a sign of great things to come!

Governor's School Update 2007
E. McAleer, J. Tomes, and M. Benenson played in the Wind Ensemble directed by Dr. Gary Schallert. The Wind Ensemble performed: Flourish for Glorious John; My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose; Four Scottish Dances, op.59; Loch Ness: A Scottish Fantasy; and Amazing Grace. The Wind Ensemble received a standing ovation.
